Summer School on Wastewater Treatment Technologies and Environmental Impact

Location: Olympia & Krestena, Helia, Greece
SSWT_2019 will be organized in the frame of the DOMUS_CW project on July 2018 and it aims to facilitate the technology transfer on decentralized wastewater treatment, focusing on Constructed Wetlands and to promote the excellence and cooperation among trainees of different cultures and backgrounds.
SSWT_2019 target group includes pre- and post- graduate students of Universities , coming from the five countries that participate in the INTERREG “Balkan-Mediterranean” programme (Greece, Cyprus , Bulgaria, Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia), with relative background and specification or interest in environmental management and restoration as well as in wastewater treatment technologies.
For the selection of the students, candidates shall apply via mail by May, 15th 2019, in the address info.SSWT2019@iceht.forth.gr. Scholarships will be awarded to
- 12 students from Greece, Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia, funded by FORTH/ICE-HT
- 4 students from Cyprus, funded by the Cyprus University of Technology and
- 4 students from Albania, funded by the Agricultural University of Tirana.
The scholarship will cover expenses for the accommodation, meals, materials and visits to the Constructed Wetland of Ploutochori, where training exercises will take place.
Each application should be accompanied by a short CV of the candidate, a brief motivation letter and a recommendation letter.
